I think I'm gonna take Friday off, and go out with a friend on his boat before the seas build too much. If so, I'll post the report here. NOAA shows 3'-5' so far from 20-60nm. Hope it doesn't get worse before then.

I fished inshore on Thursday for a couple of hours in Tiger Basin ending up with zilch, zero, nada! Friday I spent the day at Memorial Hospital while my wife underwent surgery, so no fishing then. How did you do offshore? Did you get out?

Mark, hope the surgery went good for her. Weekend so I took the kid down the street out for a hour or so in the canal looking for a bass, nada on the bass, couldn't get any decent size shinners. He missed a couple of fish but got a mudfish about 10 lbs that drug him around the boat pretty good so he at least got the rod bent good.

Sorry it's late fellas. We made it out Friday, and the seas were smaller than forecasted 20-60 miles. It was only about 2ft for most of the day. Unfortunately the fish had lock jaw. The sea bass on the other hand were on fire, just short ones though. If they only had to be 11", we could have had a boat load. We only caught 2 snapper, and they were short. We were able to find bait at TW in the morning, and they went fast. We got bored with catching sea bass, and decided to harass a school of spanish macks, only to find out that they were bonita with a few mixed in amberjacks. I was surprised that the aj's were caught on clark spoons. I wish I had a better report for ya, but that's how it goes sometimes.

At least you had some action. But it still stinks when nothing hits the fish box. Looks like decent weather this weekend.
