Sorry it took a few days to get posted but have been reel busy traveling back to the land of sand. Friday I took my daughters BF out for a little offshore excursion. Tried some near shore trolling for kings for a while since the rain had backed off a little but the water was still to fresh. Cleaning up nice though. We had a couple hours left before a date with the girls to take them to Fort George for some sun so we ran out to PG. The water was as sweet as it gets for an offshore run. We ran the 10 miles to PG at 30 knots the whole way in my little 17 footer. Set up the riggers for some deep drifting and the first run across the culverts resulted in hookups. At first I thought probably trash since it had been that kinda day. But I was wrong. Red snaps. The trip out there turned a nice day on the water into a great day of fishing. I will post the pic as soon as I get a chance. I only got a pic of the first one off the bottom, since after that it was busy reeling and clock watching to make it home on time. I was surprised that after 16 months the boat ran like a champ. Never failed me once. My tach died and my fuel gage only works below half a tank but I will get those fixed on my next trip home in a couple months. Too bad the snapper fishing will be closed by then. Talk to you all soon..
