Fished the outgoing tide yesterday afternoon at Peters Point. Not too bad a day, at least this time I did some filleting when I got home. Caught several ladies, a few jacks and a small bonnet head. Took home 4 nice whiting, releasing small ones. I did have something on the line that didn't want to be caught. But just as I got it close enough to where I could see my shock leader my knot failed. Aaargh! I don't mind a fish breaking off, but I hate when it's my fault with a bad knot. Never did see it, but my best guess was a shark, or more likely based on it's fight was a big ray.

I'm going to surf fish south Amelia this afternoon after I cut the grass. Hopefully I can add some more whiting to those 4.

Glad you had some good action and got a few filletes too. Been wanting to try the surf or something butt this heat has been wicked.
