I've been out of the loop for such a long time. No time for fishing this year due to other stuff, but, I finally got out to do some surf fishing with Angie yesterday at Peters Point.
We got out there just after low tide. Fishing was real slow to start, with occasional small bonnet heads and several catfish. About halfway up the incoming tide things started to kick off with whiting. The surf was what I would guess about shoulder/head high at this point and the current was running north. I usually use 2 ounce sputnik type weights but today 4 was needed. We ran out of shrimp about 1:00 pm. I had a brisket to put on the smoker anyway. Total tally was 23 whiting. Here's Angie with a twofer.
